Dear Junior League Members, Sustainers and Friends,

Your generous contributions to the Junior League of Yakima (JLY) allow our organization to continue its mission to create a network of women who are empowered and make change throughout the Yakima Valley. This last year has been one of the most challenging our community has ever faced.  COVID-19 and the mandated quarantine have changed many lives and businesses forever and is still impacting our community today.  The need for shelter, food, services and support has never been greater and JLY operated as carefully as possible within quarantine guidelines to continue its much-needed services for the Yakima Valley.

JLY’s 2020-2021 Community Impact :

• Delivered 50 book care packages to local middle school girls
• Raised and donated $3,776 for Northwest Harvest
• Donated over 500 canned goods to the Union Gospel Mission
• Partnered with Rotary for Operation Harvest
• Donated $1,000 to Wellness House
• Donated $300 to Triumph Treatment Center
• Made and donated backpacks for people experiencing homelessness
• Made and donated toiletry kits for women at the YWCA
• Awarded $7,000 to local non-profit organizations serving women and children
• This May when our Girls Summit would have taken place, JLY will instead be delivering 150 “Bloom where you are planted” Activity Boxes to middle school girls.

YOU are an invaluable part of JLY’s community impact and accomplishments, and our League thanks you for your commitment. Because of the panedemic, JLY’s Fundraising was limited greatly in 2020. By contributing to JLY’s 2021 Annual Campaign you and our organization will continue to have a great influence in the Yakima Valley—strong communities are led by strong women!
