Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Central Washington communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the Yakima Valley.

As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Established in 1934, Junior League of Yakima plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of Yakima, Washington.

Our Local Impact

The Junior League Of Yakima is a dynamic, growing community leader dedicated to improving the lives of women and children. Our primary focus is the Girls Initiative: Empowering Girls, Inspiring Leaders. Our multi-faceted approach includes goals, initiatives and measurable progress indicators to bring young women together and  create safe spaces for celebration, learning and growth. The JLY Girls Initiative is a commitment to expand the Junior League of Yakima’s relationships with community partners to make a difference for women and girls in the Yakima Valley.
