Ellen Allmendinger is a local history buff and author whose books, walking tours, and historical presentations have helped bring the history of Yakima alive. Her latest book, “Murder and Mayhem in Central Washington,” recounts the early twentieth century crimes, and criminals, that ran rampant in the cities and towns of Central Washington.
