EMPOWERS 2024 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
What is JLY EMPOWERS?
JLY Empowers is a fundraising event for the Junior League of Yakima which will partner League Members with community volunteers to complete half-day projects enhancing the services and facilities of ten essential community organizations. This is a great way to bring the community together from across our Yakima Valley, enjoy a day of volunteering, and create ripples of change throughout the area.
Volunteer locations:
- Foster First – 9 Volunteers needed. Organize donation room, prepare mailing items, and cleaning.
- Safe Yakima – Shreds & Meds – 6-10 Volunteers needed. Receive drive-up donations to assist with safe disposal of medications and documents.
- Comprehensive – 10 Volunteers needed. Painting new pop-up clinic at Camp Hope, and planting flowers
- North Star – 5 Volunteers needed. Light landscaping, pulling weeds, and outdoor clean-up
- Triumph – Painting/chalkboard project. Each person volunteering at Triumph will need to complete the volunteer application, found here: https://triumphtx.org/vo
